Who normally pays for the Cortijo as my wedding budget isn’t enough to pay for all of the accommodation as well as the wedding day costs? 

Couples book the Cortijo in its entirety but it is entirely up to you how you divide this cost with your guests.  Our couples usually pay a much larger share of the rental amount as they are obviously utilising it for their own celebration.  It is rare for a couple to pay for the complete villa themselves and it is not expected by your guests.  We would recommend the couple pay 7000 euros - which is in line with the cost of renting just for the day for a wedding and you can then ask your guests for contributions towards the accommodation.​​​

How much deposit do I need to pay to secure the venue? 

You will need to pay 50% of the rental amount to secure dates and this is payable by bank transfer.  The balance of the rental amount is not due until 3 months before your arrival

What happens if there is bad weather?

During the slightly riskier weather months of April, May, September and October a very pretty marquee is available to put in place over the dining terrace.  This provides cover for up to 70 guests and can also be used for the ceremony space if needed.  Our evening bar, shisha room and dance floor are also covered providing dry areas.

When do I pay for my wedding day package? 

Rachel Rose Weddings ask for a 2000€ within a couple of months of booking, this is payment of your wedding planning fees.  The balance of your wedding day package will not be due until the week of your wedding.

Do I have to use your suppliers?

No, once you book with us your wedding planning team will send you detailed information about the planning process with a selection of  preferred suppliers to choose from.  If none of these are to your liking then you are welcome to choose others. None of the suppliers are set in stone except for our caterers and florist. This is so that we ensure the continued quality and smooth running of our weddings.

Can I make changes to the wedding day package?

Yes Rachel Rose Weddings can create a bespoke wedding day for you, the package costs in the brochure are an example of average costs for suppliers. For example should you want to bring your own photographer or maybe you have a family member who would marry you, your wedding day costs would then be adjusted accordingly. The only elements that are fixed are the décor & lighting and the planning & Coordination as these are provided directly by Rachel Rose Weddings.

Can I book a live band for the evening?

To respect our peaceful countryside setting and neighbouring properties, we don't permit live bands for evening entertainment.

However, you're very welcome to book a DJ for the evening, and live musicians such as solo singers, guitarists or acoustic duos are perfect for ceremonies, drinks receptions and daytime celebrations.

Do I get a choice of musicians and photographers etc? 

Yes when you book, the Wedding Planners will send you a list of their recommended suppliers who they work with on a regular basis and in our opinion are the best available but you are also more than welcome to source some of your own suppliers if you wish.

Can I bring in my own caterers?

We have chosen to work exclusively with The Outside Kitchen, whose exceptional food, impeccable service and extensive experience at Cortijo Rosa Blanca ensure every wedding is delivered to the highest standard. Their team knows the venue inside out and works seamlessly with us to create a relaxed and memorable dining experience for you and your guests.
